Revival or standstill of tourism in the upcoming winter season Bansko will be the best performing winter resort in Bulgaria This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism Mariyana Nikolova in an official statement dated Nov 10, 2020. She also added that this season the tourism industry will once again rely mainly on the Bulgarian customers, who literally saved the summer season and expects tourist behavior and preferences to repeat to a large extent. A significant share of the reservations will be made last minute, travellers will prefer places for accommodation ensuring higher privacy level and social distancing, such as chalets/villas, family hotels & aparthotels with remote location. In winter unlikely any other, it is impossible to expect results as good as the one from the previous winter season but based on the knowledge of the customer preferences for accommodation, the updated business policies and good practices from the summer season 2020
