Hungary is about to close the Investor Residency Bond Program

The Hungarian Government plans to close the Hungarian Investor Residency Program. The local officials are still debating on the positives of the Program to the local economy and the principal position of Hungary against migrants. There is no final decision yet, but according to the position of the Radical Nationalist Party, Constitutional amendments are needed on the cessation of sales of Hungarian residency to third-country nationals. While the politicians are arguing and bargaining on the forthcoming amendments, the current investors under the Program are concern, whether the policy amendments shall affect their applications and investments? According to the public statements, published in the press, the Program will finalize every started application, although no new applications shall be admitted.
