"Positive" outlook to Bulgaria
International
credit rating agencies upgraded the investment grade on Bulgaria to “Positive”.
Fitch
Rating revised its June Bulgaria’s Outlook to “Positive” and affirmed the sovereign
credit rating at “BBB-”. The advanced
rates are based on the country’s positive current account trends and the
appointment of new Government, which offers economic and fiscal policy
continuity.
Standard
& Poor’s also improved the outlook on Bulgaria to “Positive” and affirmed
the credit rating at “BB+”. The agency expects further improvement of the
investment environment in the country, if the Government continues reducing its
macroeconomic vulnerabilities and acts to further decrease the number of
non-performing loans.
Moody’s
credit rating for Bulgaria was last set at "Baa2" with "Stable" outlook.
